A day out of the office for The Sunflower Jam

Fri, November 18, 2011

A big day for The Sunflower Jam team on Thursday 20th October as we paid a visit to The College of Medicine and Great Ormond Street Hospital to hand over our donations from our 2011 Superjam concert!

We first visited Rachel Hughes, Senior Development Manager and the oncology team at GOSH. We were shown around the area, which with the £26,000 we raised will be transformed into a natural healing room for the children. There was so much excitement in the air and even the children came to say hello. Such a magical day for all involved!

Our next visit took us to meet with Michael Dixon from College of Medicine, where we continued our discussion regarding Bursaries and educational funding within integrated and complementary approaches. A cheque for £50,000.00 was given to College of Medicine, which will enable this practice to move forward in these areas.

We are over the moon to be working with such wonderful people and want to say another massive thank you to all that were involved through this whole process, from the team behind stage, the artists and the guests on the evening. All of this wouldn’t have been achieved without every single one of you!!
